Game data

No account, email address or password is required. An essential, HTTP-only browser cookie identifies this browser so today’s game can resume. The server stores a hash of that identifier, puzzle date, guesses, reveals, timing and completion state. Do not enter private information in guesses. Game records older than 35 days are periodically deleted during service use.

Your browser also stores visible progress, completed results and statistics in local storage. They remain until you clear the site’s browser data. Clearing local storage does not necessarily erase an active server-side daily game while its cookie remains. Browser cookies can be retained for up to 400 days, subject to browser limits.

Anonymous daily statistics

The operator can view private daily totals for game openings, starts, completions, wins, losses, total guesses and elapsed completion time. Counts are based on browser game records, not verified people, and do not expose guess text or browser identifiers in the dashboard. Daily aggregate totals without browser identifiers are retained after individual game records expire. No third-party analytics tracker is added for this reporting. Cloudflare Access protects the owner dashboard and processes the owner’s sign-in information.

Hosting and security

Cloudflare hosts the site, Worker and game database. Network requests necessarily disclose connection information such as your IP address to the hosting provider. For short-lived rate limits, the app hashes the connecting IP together with a minute bucket; it does not save the raw IP in its rate-limit table. Expired rate records are periodically deleted. Cloudflare may retain security and operational information under its own terms.

Sharing and advertising

Sharing happens only when you choose it. Shared results contain the date, guesses used, reveal counts, time and a pattern—not the answer, clue text or your guess text. Your device’s sharing service may process material you choose to share. There is no runtime AI service and no account integration.

Loading Google’s script sends Google connection information such as your IP address, browser information and the page requested; Google may process identifiers or cookies subject to browser settings and applicable consent requirements. Read how Google uses information from partner sites. No manual ad units are enabled in the game and approval has not been confirmed. Before enabling ad serving or personalization, we will configure applicable consent controls and permitted advertising resources. We do not sell game data.
